My name is Isabella Uzcátegui and I’m a Mexican-Panamanian filmmaker (director, writer, and actor). I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A in Drama and B.A in Psychology and am currently obtaining my M.F.A in Directing and Producing for Film and Television from UCLA.

In my storytelling I like to explore different levels of fantasy, deep human connections, and self-discovery. I’ve had the great chance to work alongside incredible filmmakers such as Bryce Dallas Howard, Karen Maine, and Mariel Garcia Spooner.

Recently, I was the casting director for Natalie Jasmine Harris’ film PURE (HBOmax) and assistant for Karen Maine’s film ROSALINE (Hulu). I am also the lead screenwriter for Mariel Garcia Spooner’s second film BYE BARBARA.
